I'll explain why to do this later, so if you're hesitant, feel free to wait, I'll reiterate at that point. Once you generate something to your liking, make sure you assign an EMPTY FOLDER for it to dump the state files into.ДЄre the state files dumped? Good. Setting the sliders to shrink the amount of provinces will keep it much lower than that (I can't even give a general range, islands will count as their own state no matter how small, oceans are divided into regions of their own, and landmasses are roughly cut into 3rds/4ths/5ths usually, so it could be as low as 200-300 or as high as 900-1200.) Why is it so unstable you ask? Because each state consists of its own 0-2KB txt file, which means thousands (potentially tens of thousands, as my first attempts at making a map with a screwed up image created over 9000 files.) of files will be created unless you do this. It can and WILL crash if you в™Ґв™Ґв™Ґв™Ґ things up, so its important to keep in mind how MapGen's instability may cause it to crash when generating a smaller states. Provinces are the building blocks of States, states are incredibly complex, in turn, even though MapGen leaves the contents of each province (and therefore each state) blank (meaning they contain no resources or intrinsic value,) this one specific part of MapGen is the most unstable. I'd suggest either resetting the GFX field every time the 'Add New Focus' button is clicked, or somehow retaining the previously selected GFX for good.Okay, let me make one thing EXTREMELY CLEAR HERE: This is all great, but if I leave it at that, the newly created focus will get the standard '?' gfx, instead of the one that was shown. I also found, that when I add a new focus, the little icon, that shows the current GFX, is retained from the previous added focus. I personally wouldn't use this feature that much, as I don't often create new focus trees from scratch, but I imagine a lot of modders would be very grateful for it. I don't know what future plans you have for the tool, but it would be beyond cool, if it could generate a skeleton file of your designed focus tree, that has the basic things laid out already (names, prerequisites, positions etc.). Once it is fleshed out, it will be a huge help to modders. I hope the feedback helps you in developing this tool. Like with the previous problem, if I edit asd33, and commit the changes, the line reappears (though it still has a weird gap before it starts). Once I edited asd3, and changed the gfx a couple times, it sort of resolved itself:ДЄlthough, as the image shows, the line connecting it to asd33 has disappears. Lines for the first column (asd1-asd2-asd22) are not showing up, and asd3 is behaving straight up weird. I'm not trying to be a pain in the ass, but I managed to break the lines feature too: If you break it, please tell me how, and with that - I'll leave you to enjoy your day. And second to that was forgetting to format lang files correctly. I created this simply because my biggest issue with NF trees has always been getting the locations correct, whether that be focuses overlapping - and now with continuous focuses, hiding behind the CF box. These do look ugly, but I will not spend more time on a feature which is only for visual aid- at least for now.
